These terms cover The Bay State Treasure Gazette, published by Design Delight Studio. They are written in plain English rather than legal language. They are not legal advice.

What this site is

A directory of second-hand shops in Massachusetts — thrift stores, vintage and consignment shops, antique dealers, used bookshops and record shops. Most entries are researched by us. Some are paid listings submitted by the shop. Paid listings are not marked differently, because they are held to the same accuracy standard as every other entry.

Accuracy

We check every entry against Google Places before publishing it, and we re-check the directory periodically. We still get things wrong: hours change, shops move, shops close. Nothing here is a guarantee. Call ahead before you drive somewhere. If you find an error, tell us at customersupport@ddsboston.com and we will correct it and record the correction publicly.

Paid listings

A listing costs $25 and runs for twelve months from the day it publishes. It does not auto-renew and you will not be charged again. We email you before it expires. One purchase covers one physical shop location.

Advertising

Advertising slots are sold for fixed terms and do not auto-renew. We do not publish audience or traffic figures, because we do not yet measure them; introductory rates are described as introductory on the rate card. We can decline or remove any advertisement.

What we will not publish

We do not publish listings for businesses outside Massachusetts, businesses we cannot verify exist, or shops that are permanently closed. We do not publish anything misleading about a real person or organisation. We may remove any listing that turns out to be inaccurate, and we will refund it.

Your content

If you submit a listing, an advertisement, an event or a letter, you keep ownership of it and you give us permission to publish it on this site in both the English and Spanish editions. You confirm it is accurate and that you have the right to submit it.

Liability

We provide this directory as a public reference and take reasonable care over it. We are not responsible for what happens between you and a shop, for a wasted journey, or for anything you buy. Where the law allows us to limit our liability, our total liability to you is limited to what you have paid us.

Changes

We may change these terms. The date at the top is when they last changed. Material changes affecting a paid listing will not apply to that listing until its term ends.
